Obituary for Marie Felice "Fay" Morgenstern

Morgenstern, Marie Felice “Fay” of Mt Pleasant (formerly of Grosse Pointe Farms), passed away with family at her side on July 7, 2021.

Felice married Larry in January 1961, and together they raised 7 children. Felice is survived by her children Becky (Kevin) Sides of Weidman, Dan Morgenstern of Mt. Pleasant, Ruthanne Morgenstern of Harrison, Larry (Michele) Morgenstern of Monroe, Maggie (Don) Cashen of Mt. Pleasant, Steve Morgenstern of Weidman, Millie (Wayne) Brown of Blumont, VA, her sister-in-law Judi Reaume of Florida, and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and 3 nephews.

Felice was born in Detroit on February 17, 1939, to William and Mildred (Kennedy) Reaume. She met her husband while attending university, graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from CMU. Felice wore many hats in her lifetime, she was a mother, a swim instructor, a special education teacher, a seamstress, a cook, a custodian, an artist and yet she still found time to tend her beloved flower gardens, sewing clothes, spending time with her grandchildren and watching birds. Felice devoted much of her life giving back to her community, volunteering untold hours in the early development of Christmas Outreach, the Isabella County Commission on Aging, and as a clerk at CMU SAC where she swam almost every day until Covid restrictions were put in place. Many people who knew our mother would freely tell us of the fond memories they had of her and how much she impacted their lives.

Felice was preceded in death by her husband, Larry, her parents and her brother, Dan Reaume.
Per Felice’s request, there will be no funeral service. The family will celebrate her life, along with that of her late husband at their home on July 10th, 5 p.m-10 p.m. Cremation services have been entrusted to Clark Family Funeral Chapel and Daisy Hill Crematory. https://www.daisyhillcrematory.com/
