Obituary for Marilynn Judith Spencer (Middleton)
Marilynn Judith Spencer 64 of Harrison passed at her home on Friday, May 10, 2019. Marilynn was born October 8, 1954 in Mount Clemens, Michigan the daughter of James William Middleton and Margaret Jacqueline (Snyder) Middleton. Marilynn was united in marriage to Mr. Aubrey Edmond Spencer on April 4, 1991, in Mio, Michigan. Mr. Spencer preceded Marilynn in death in 2013.
Mrs. Spencer had resided in Harrison since 2018, moving from St. Clair County, Michigan. Marilynn was co-owner and operator of Spence’s Lounge in Capac, Michigan from 1991-1998. Marilynn enjoyed sewing, quilting, flower and vegetable gardening, caning and spending time with her family. She was known to seek out yard sales and negotiate a good deal on her new found treasures.
Surviving Mrs. Spencer is her daughter, Holly A. Schrader and Jason Reid of Brown City, Michigan, her three grandchildren; Cameron Schrader, Tyler Schrader and Alyssa Schrader, one sister, Julie (Don) Thompson of South Carolina, two brothers; Gordon (Donna) Middleton of Armada, Michigan and Paul (Diane) Middleton of St. Clair County, plus many nieces, nephews and close friends; John Soye, Patrick Schrader, Donald Bollaert, Kathryn Sutherland, Jan and John Richter, Sharron and John Bower, Gwyn and John Stoneburg, along with many others. Her two beloved dogs; Baby and Jasmine. Mrs. Spencer also was preceded in death by her parents and grandson Tyler Schrader.
