Obituary for Mark William Maeder
MAEDER, MARK WILLIAM, age 57, of Weidman passed away Thursday, June 10, 2021, at his home surrounded by his family.
Funeral Services for Mark will be held on Tuesday, June 15, at 2 p.m. at Clark Funeral Chapel with Rev Mike Selleck and Rev Don Spachman officiating. Interment will take place at the Fairview Cemetery followed by a luncheon at the Weidman Community Center.
The family will receive friends on Monday, June 14, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the funeral chapel and on Tuesday from noon until the time of the service. Memorial contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice or to the family. Envelopes will be available at Clark Family Funeral Chapel.
Mark was born on November 4, 1963, the son of William James Maeder and Lou Ann (Gatehouse) Maeder. He graduated from Chippewa Hills High School, Class of 1981. Mark and his father William were the owners of Maeder Logging Inc. for over 40 years. Mark truly enjoyed his work. He married Linda Ann Travis on October 25, 2003.
Mark enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time at his cabin on Houghton Lake. He loved watching his girls play sports and hunting with them. Mark was generous, had a big heart, and loved being with his family. He would do just about anything for anyone.
Mark is survived by his wife of 17 years, Linda; children, Hailey and Hollie Maeder; like a son, Marcus (Shelby) Carrier and great-nephew, Jayson; mother and father-in-law, Robert and Wanda Travis; brother and sisters-in-law, Sandra (Greg) McClintic, Larry (Shannon) Travis, Dennis (Pam) Travis, Keith Travis, Dan Travis, and Darlene (Doug) Misenhelder; and many nieces, and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
Mark was preceded in death by his parents, William and Lou Ann and sister, Lori Anne Maeder.
