Obituary for Marlene Patricia Thaller
THALLER, MARLENE PATRICIA, age 73, of Shepherd, passed away Sunday, May 9, 2021, at Stone Lodge Memory Care in Shepherd.
An Outdoor Funeral Service for Marlene will be held on Friday, May 14, 2021 at 3 p.m. at Clark Family Funeral Chapel on the west lawn with Pastor Ronald Lance officiating. The family will greet friends beginning at 1 p.m. until the time of the service. Interment will follow at Memorial Gardens Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family. Envelopes will be available at the funeral chapel.

Marlene was born June 19, 1947, in Raleigh, North Carolina, the daughter of Jesse and Christine (Hill) Jones. She married Terry Thaller, Sr. on May 12, 1967, in North Carolina. Terry preceded her in death on January 10, 2011. She was a member of Abundant Life Church in Sanford. Marlene loved her family very much and was proud of her southern heritage. She enjoyed traveling with Terry, cooking, shopping and meeting new people.
Marlene is survived by her sons Terry (Marci) Thaller, Jr. of Springfield, MO, Jeff Thaller of Shepherd, Jason (Kennetha) Thaller of Mt. Pleasant; daughter-in-law Kristen Thaller of Riverdale; 16 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; siblings Helen (Ray) Bowen, Ann (Benny) Peace, and J.B. Jones, all of North Carolina.
Marlene was preceded in death by her parents; husband Terry; son Patrick; and sister Vicki.
