Obituary for Martha L Cole
Martha Lois Cole, age 71, of Wyoming, formerly of Mt. Pleasant passed away Tuesday, October 1, 2019, at The Laurels of Sandy Creek in Wayland.
A Memorial Service for Martha will be held in the Reflections Reception Center at Clark Family Funeral Chapel on Tuesday, October 8, at 11 a.m. with a Luncheon to follow. The family will receive friends the day of the service from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the family. Envelopes will be available at the funeral chapel.
Martha was born on October 3, 1947, in Mt. Pleasant, the daughter of Joesph and Orallia (Zapata) Torres. She married James Cole in Grand Rapids. Martha worked for Ameritech for over 35 years. She loved to sing and listen to Motown music. She enjoyed bowling, playing darts, and spending time with her friends.
Martha is survived by her sons, James Cole of Wayland and John (Ronni) Cole of Wayland; grandchildren, Harley and Jacey Cole; siblings, Ruth Lea Torres of Mt. Pleasant and Ronnie (Lisa) Torres of Mt. Pleasant; sisters-in-law, Patty Krall, Rosemary Randall, Betty (Keith) Norman and Connie (Tim) Tryon, and brother-in-law, David Cole; and many nieces and nephews.
Martha was preceded in death by her husband, James Edward Cole; parents; and brother, Reuben Lionel Torres.
