Obituary for Mary Bliss

On July 27, 2022, Mary Bliss of Mt. Pleasant, left this world to be reunited with people she had missed for many, many years. Two of them are her parents, Leo and Genevieve, who brought her home in April of 1942, in the lovely town of Pigeon, MI. From there, Mary later moved to Midland, MI where she graduated from Midland High School. She attended Central Michigan University for two years when she met Jon Warren. They were married in 1963 and had two children. Mary worked for many years, first in retail, then as a bookkeeper. Though Mary and Jon divorced in 1987, they remained in each other’s lives. Mary loved her family and spending time with them. She always looked forward to the first BBQ of the year as that meant winter was behind her and she could get back outside to walk and listen to the birds sing. Mary loved a good joke, though could never deliver one herself. Laughter was something heard every minute spent with her. Mary does not want us to be sad because she’s gone, rather, be happy that she was here. Her son, daughter and son-in-law are going to miss what she shared…an abundance of love and an optimistic view of how life rolls on.

Mary is survived by her daughter Lisa and son-in-law Wil of Mt. Pleasant, her son Jon “JB” Warren of Anthem, AZ and Jon and Vicki Warren of Clare, MI.

In memory of Mary, please consider a donation to the Humane Animal Treatment Society (HATS), 1105 S. Isabella Rd., Mt. Pleasant, as she often talked about getting a dog or cat, or a charity of your choice.
