Mary was born December 19, 1949, to Arthur and Marie (Schafer) Rahl in Mount Pleasant. Mary graduated from Beal City Public Schools, class of 1968. She met and married the love of her life Thomas Alan Flower on April 12, 1969, at St. Joseph the Worker Church. Thomas and Mary had 4 children and she was the best home keeper and mother that she could be. Mary herself was not in the military, but with her husband and children’s military service she has made many sacrifices for our country. She is a member of the Weidman Eagles Auxiliary 4540. Mary enjoyed spending time in nature, she was known to take over the yard with more flower beds than grass. She often would be found playing her computer games, and with her loving pet dogs Taffy and Sassy or Cat Socks, but nothing made Mary happier than sharing a meal with her family.

Mary is survived by her husband, Thomas Flower; children, David (Tammy) Flower of Dover, PA, Scott (Dawn) Flower of Fremont, MI, Brian (Stephanie) Flower of Houston, TX, and Marie (John) Hubel of Lake, MI; siblings, Dan (Donna) Rahl of Mt. Pleasant, Katie Vogel of Sears, MI, Sam Rahl of Shepherd, MI and Tim (Wanda) Rahl of Charlotte, MI; 8 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
