Obituary for Matthew Harold "Matt" Tuzas Sr.
Matthew (Matt) Harold Tuzas Sr, passed away on September 6, 2023 with his three children by his side at McLaren Central Michigan- Mount Pleasant.
Services for Matt will be held at Clark Family Funeral Chapel on Friday, September 15, 2023, at 12 p.m. with Benjamen Evers officiating. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until the time of the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the wishes of the family.
Matt was born on August 10, 1957, in Saginaw, Michigan, the son of D. John and Kathryn Tuzas (Sal) Tuzas. He served in the United States Army Reserves from 1975-1981. Matt's hobbies included collecting coins, sports memorabilia, especially his beloved Detroit Lions, and trains. He was an avid deer hunter and loved to go fishing.
Matt is survived by his three children: Heather Perez (Christopher Ramirez), Felisha (Angelo) Costello, and Matthew (Kori) Tuzas, Jr.; grandchildren: Pablo Jr, Edward, Kayla, Benjamin, Dominic, Jamison, Julian, Brennan, Samuel, Alexander, Aurora, and Esme; several great grandchildren; brothers; Michael (Lisa) Tuzas, Timothy (Doreen) Tuzas and Brett (Beth) Tuzas sister: Janelle (Jerry) Kiedel; and several nieces and nephews.
Matt was preceded in death by his parents, sister: Phyllis Ott; and son-in-law: Pablo Perez Sr.
