Obituary for Michael "Mike" Impullitti
Impullitti, Michael (Mike) Age 68, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, July 4, 2021, at Spectrum Health, Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids, Michigan surrounded by family and friends.
Mike was born in Detroit, Michigan on August 18, 1952, the son of Rudolph and Carmela (Gareffa) Impullitti. He graduated from Grosse Pointe Public Schools with the Class of 1970. Mike earned his bachelor’s degree from CMU (Central Michigan University) in 1974 with a dual major in Marketing and Finance. He got his MBA from MSU (Michigan State University) with a Marketing major and Economics minor.
Following college, Mike worked at American Motors Corporation in Southfield, Michigan and also taught Marketing part time at Macomb Community College. After meeting while at MSU, Mike married Joanne Jozsa on August 18, 1979, in Muskegon, Michigan. He and Joanne enjoyed 41 years of marriage together, living in Newport Beach, California, for 36 years where they enjoyed traveling in California & the West Coast.
Mike also taught part time while in California at University of Phoenix for Marketing. Mike retired in 2018 from Mitsubishi Motors North American (MMNA) after 36 years in the Warranty and Service Department, beginning as Warranty Administrator in 1982 as Mitsubishi Motors entered the US automotive market. Over the years he rose to Supervisor, Systems and Operations Manager and finally his last 14 years as the National Manager of Warranty Administration. Mike and Joanne moved to Mt. Pleasant, Michigan in 2019 to enjoy retirement. Cremation will take place at Daisy Hill Crematory in Mt.
