MACHUTA, NANCY ANN, age 64, of Mt. Pleasant passed away Tuesday, March 30, 2021.
Cremation will take place at Daisy Hill Crematory in Mt. Pleasant and a Celebration of Nancy's life will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please share a story of Nancy.
Nancy was born on November 2, 1956, in Mt. Pleasant, daughter of Elton and Carol (Jacobs) Machuta. Nancy was an avid flower gardener and loved to sew, paint and do carpentry. She was an amazing handy woman, fixing up many homes. She loved to dress up and wear anything with a sparkle. She was always on the go. She was an amazing cook, who always insisted on cooking for others. There is not a single garage sale that Nancy missed. Spoiling her grandchildren was her top priority. She was a naturopathic enthusiast.
Nancy is survived by her children, Neil Norton and Nina (Phill) Schafer; grandchildren, Gage and Bela Norton, Phillip and Michael Schafer; siblings, Larry (Mary) Machuta, Mike (Pat) Machuta, Diane Stauffer, and Patty Lindquist; uncle, Bill (Gail) Jacobs; aunt, Roberta Cook; and Bev (Roger) Flanner; nieces and nephews, Carrie, Heather, and Eric Recker; and significant other, Joie Ray Prout.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Greg and Bob Machuta; and niece, Abbi Dykstra.
