Obituary for Noah Ray Sickles
Noah “Ray” Sickles 73 of Harrison, passed Thursday, April 25, 2019 at MidMichigan Medical Center-Midland. Noah was born June 10, 1945 in Howell, Michigan, the son of Noah and Mary (Warner) Sickles. Mr. Sickles was united in marriage to Ruth Ann Stambaugh on November 21, 1964 in Howell.
Mr. Sickles had resided in Harrison since 1999, moving from Lake, Michigan. Ray was a past member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles. He enjoyed fishing, high diving, watching televised drag racing, boxing, UFC fights, Detroit Tigers baseball, Detroit Lions football and U of M football. Noah’s greatest enjoyment was spoiling his great-granddaughters.
Surviving Ray is his daughter and best friend, Naomi Sickles of Harrison, two sons; Ken Sickles and wife Rhonda of Cadillac, Michigan and Steve Nichols and Renee of Stockbridge, Michigan, his seven grandchildren; Scott (Amanda) Sickles, Anthony (Danni) Sickles, Heather (Vince) Clark, Steve Nichols, Zackary Nichols, Logan Riojas and Samantha Nichols, seven great-grandchildren; Karley Sickles, Grayson Hudson, Arihanna Drinkwine, Aleeah Clark, Ashlynn Sickles, Kenneth Clark and baby girl Sickles arriving in August, one brother, Eugene “Butch” Sickles of Mesick, Michigan, many nieces and nephews and his two beloved dogs; Baby Girl and Belle. Mr. Sickles was preceded in death by his parents, the love of his life, Mrs. Hubbs, three sisters; Gloria Washburn, Yvonne Stambaugh and Joan Smith, three brothers; Edward Sickles, Albert Sickles and Charles Sickles.
Funeral services celebrating Mr. Sickles will be held Thursday, May 2, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. from Stocking Funeral Home, Harrison with Pastor Connie Bongard officiating. A time of visitation will take place on Thursday, May 2, 2019 from 1:00 p.m. until time of service. Memorial gifts in memory of Ray may be considered to the Sickles family, in care of: Naomi Sickles.
