Obituary for Norman Larry Carson
CARSON, NORMAN LARRY, age71, of Remus, passed away Wednesday, November 29, 2023.
A Celebration of Life for Larry will take place at R&R Venue, 550 W. Wright Ave., Shepherd, Michigan, on Tuesday, December 12, 2023, at 11 a.m. A luncheon will take place immediately following the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
Larry was born March 4, 1952, in South Charleston, West Virginia, the son of Walter and Gladys (Myers) Carson. He proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1972-1974. Larry and Barbara Rhode were married January 21, 1972, in Remus. He loved spending time with his family and always helping others. Larry enjoyed hunting, camping, dancing, going to the casino, and tubing down the river. He especially loved his dog, Chloe.
Larry is survived by his wife Barbara Carson; sons David (Amyee) Carson of Mt. Pleasant, Norman (Tracey) Carson of Remus, Roger Carson (Crystal Sloan) of Caro; daughter Alexandria (Matthew) Bowers of Port Huron; grandchildren Dru, Quinn, Olivia, Ryland, Ben, Maddy, Greg, Natasha; great-grandchildren Kenzie, Fraye, Elliott, Oliver, Frankie, Amelia, Anthony, Junious; brothers, Gene (Cheryl) Carson of Harbor Beach, Terry (Linda) Carson of Mt. Pleasant; sisters, Pat (Ken) Bundy of Mt. Pleasant, Sylvia (Roger) Bitcell of Oakland, MD, Bonnie Carson of Mt. Pleasant, Linda (Ed) Smith of Mecosta; special friends Tom (Kat) Austin of Remus; and special family members Anita Johnson of Shepherd and Bridget Putman of Caro.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents; sister Darlene Raymond; and brother Walt Carson.
