Obituary for Olga Williamson (Bond)

Olga Williamson
February 5, 1930 – July 5, 2022
A Lake Isabella Legend.

Olga Williamson passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 5, 2022. She was 92 years young.

From her strong faith, top secret chocolate chip cookie recipe and one-of-a-kind sense of humor to her welcoming smile, fierce independence and well-kept need for immaculate cleanliness in all facets of life; Olga was known for many wonderful things.

She was also known by many names. To her many close friends and helpful neighbors, she was known simply as “Olga.” To the students she served for over 28 years at Mount Pleasant Public Schools, she was “Mrs. Williamson.” To her close family – including her late parents, Ogden and Mae Bond, her three sisters (Venus, Dreama and Peggy) and her lifelong husband and best friend, Fritz Williamson, who preceded her in passing – she was known as “Oggie.” She was “Mom” to her three kids, Robyn, Chris and Steve. And to her six grandchildren, whom she so outspokenly loved, she is remembered as the one and only, “Nana.”

A character in every sense of the word, Olga will be remembered as devoted to her faith and a legend around Lake Isabella. Just ask any one of her helpful neighbors, invaluable caregivers and nurse, family members and fellow church goers. They’ll surely all have heartfelt, often humorous, stories to share about the ever-entertaining antics of Olga.

As Olga joins the friends and family who preceded her, and her husband and companion, Fritz, in heaven, she leaves us with an abundance of memories, a loving family and, in true Olga fashion, a spotless house she called home.

Honoring Olga’s request, no funeral service will be held. Instead, her family will have a private remembrance of her life at a later date.
