Obituary for Orland Zane Clark

ORLAND ZANE CLARK, age 84, of Grayling passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 13, 2016, at home.

Funeral Services for Orland will be held from 2 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Clark Family Funeral Chapel in Mt. Pleasant on Friday, February 19, 2016. Visitation will be from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m.  Interment will follow the Service in Ridgelawn Cemetery in Breckenridge. 

Orland was born on September 2, 1931, in Bethany Township, Gratiot County, Michigan, the son of Leonard and Thelma (Naegele) Clark.  After his service in the Navy, he became an equipment operator at Dow Chemical, where he worked until he retired.  Orland knew the value of friendship and hard work.  He was a road warrior and a renowned storyteller. He was an outdoor enthusiast, loved to garden, work on cars and was always up for a little mischievous adventure.

Orland is survived by his children, Debra (John) Woodcock of Plymouth, MI, Eric Clark of South Bend, IN, Aaron Clark of South Bend, IN, and Jodi (Matthew) Guillotel of Pacifica, CA; grandchildren Lucas (Nancy) Woodcock, Andrew Woodcock, Leif Guillotel, and Soleil Guillotel; brother, Marlin (Joyce) Clark of Rosebush, and sisters, Maida (Phillip) Roberts of Breckenridge, and Nelda Hunnicutt of Ithaca.

Orland was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia; parents Thelma and Leonard Clark; and brother, Bernard Clark.
