Obituary for Penny Lou "Mama Penny" Lezan (Watson)

LEZAN, PENNY LOU, age 74, of Saginaw passed away Friday, July 2, 2021, at her home under the care of Visiting Nurses Association of Covenant.

Funeral Services for Penny will be held at Clark Family Funeral Chapel on Saturday, July 10, at 1 p.m. with Pastor Dan Siedlecki officiating. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery. A Luncheon will take place in the Reflections Reception Center following the Committal Service. The family will receive friends Friday, July 9, from 4 to 9 p.m. Visitation will continue the day of the service from 12 noon until the time of the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the family. Envelopes will be available at the funeral chapel.

Penny was born on March 20, 1947, in Mt. Pleasant, daughter of Earl and Velma "Janette" (Jackson) Watson. She married Nick C. Lezan, Sr. on June 26, 1965, in Mt. Pleasant. She was very active in the Boy Scouts 320 out of Saginaw. She loved volunteering for the Muscular Dystrophy Association. Penny and her family dug graves at Holy Cross Cemetery in Saginaw. Penny and Nick loved going to the casino and playing bingo. She enjoyed working on puzzle books and watching her grandchildren play sports.

Penny is survived by sons, Charles (Brenda) Lezan of Mt. Pleasant and Nick (Deeann) Lezan, Jr. of Shepherd; grandchildren, Lowell "JT" Lezan, Annessa Achtabowski, Krystan Lezan, Emily Lezan, Hailey (Skyler Waters) Lezan, and CJ Lezan; great-grandchildren, Paizlee Lezan, Adalynn Lezan, Carson Jerrell Waters, and Osyka Ada Russell; sister, Rhonda Goodall; and very special niece, Laura Campbell-Wolf.

Penny was preceded in death by her husband, Nick Lezan, Sr. in 2019; triplets, Nick, Earl, and Paul; son, Michael Paul; parents; and three siblings.
