Obituary for Phyllis Ann Massick

MASSICK, PHYLLIS ANN, age 82, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away Wednesday, August 11, 2021, at Green Acres.

Funeral Services for Phyllis will take place at Clark Family Funeral Chapel Saturday, August 14, 2021, at 2 p.m. with Pastor Joe Beavan officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Gardens Cemetery. A Luncheon will take place in the Reflections Reception Center following the Committal Service. The family will receive friends at the funeral chapel on Friday, August 13, from 5 until 9 p.m. and one hour prior to service. Memorial contributions may be made the Rosebush United Methodist Church, Isabella County Commission on Aging, or the wishes of the family. Envelopes will be available at the funeral chapel.

Phyllis was born July 4, 1939, in Mt. Pleasant, daughter of Phillip and Anna Lou (Springer) Prescott. Phyllis was married to Guy Massick for 38 years, who preceded her in death in 2010. She worked and retired after 38 years in healthcare as a nurse. Phyllis enjoyed sewing, quilting and the friends she made quilting. She was very proud of her blended family, especially her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchild.

Phyllis is survived by her children, Pam (Jim) Newell of Mt. Pleasant, Patricia (Bob) Trayer of Marion, Tim (Mary Ellen) Prescott of Mt. Pleasant, Troy (Judy) Perkins of Mt. Pleasant, Todd (Jackie) Massick of Bay City, Rick (Kathy) Massick of Jenks, OK, Nikki Mitchell of Mt. Pleasant, and David (Stephanie) Massick of Gordonville, TX; 19 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Lloyd (Charlotte) Arthur and Phillip (Mary) Prescott; brother-in-law, Richard Curtiss; sisters, Wilma (Larry) Ervin, Jackie Gates, Mary June (Roger) Oosterhouse, Diane (Jim) White, and Bobbie (Jim) Watkins.

Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband, Guy; granddaughter, Melia; and sisters, Charlene Hart, and Barbara Curtiss.
