Obituary for Raymond Hauck

Raymond Hauck, age 97, of Mt. Pleasant passed away Saturday, January 16, 2016 at the Isabella County Medical Care Facility.

Funeral Mass for Raymond will be held at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church on Friday, January 22, at 10 a.m. with Fr. Ricky Varner officiating. Interment will follow in St Joseph Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church on Thursday, January 21, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. with a Vigil for Raymond at 7:30 p.m. Visitation will continue the day of the service from 9 a.m. until the time of Mass. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph the Worker School. Envelopes will be available at the funeral chapel and St. Joseph the Worker Church.

Raymond was born on May 14, 1918 in Nottawa Township, the son of Harry and Clara (Doll) Hauck. Raymond proudly served his county in the United States Navy during WWII, serving in the South Pacific, Guadalcanal, and the entire Solomon Island campaign. He married Veronica Reihl on August 11, 1950 at St. Philomena Church. Raymond was a farmer his entire life with his brother, Carl Hauck. He enjoyed going to Beal City, Sacred Heart, and Mt. Pleasant High School's sporting events to watch his grandchildren.

Raymond is survived by his children, Tim (Bonnie) Hauck, Harry (Nancy) Hauck, Peggy (Ron) Dorris, Roger (Raschelle) Hauck, Mary (Tim) Lee, and Neal (Kay) Hauck; grandchildren, Lisa Ervin, Anna Hauck, Raymond Hauck, Marguerite Hauck, Ryan Dorris, Tiffany (Larry) Starr, Matthew Hauck, Stacey Hauck, Veronica Lee, Timmy Lee, Mary Kate Lee, Rachel Hauck, Jodi Hauck, Allison Hauck, and Sophie Hauck; 4 great-grandchildren; brothers-in-law, John (Ruth) Reihl and Robert (Pat) Reihl; sisters-in-law, Marie McIntyre and Theresa Maeder.

Raymond was preceded in death by his wife, Veronica; granddaughters, Michelle Hauck and Christine Hauck; parents; brothers, Walter (Irene), Gerald, Richard, and Carl (Rita) Hauck; sisters, Dorothy (Harold) Munn, Luella (Harold) Smith, and Anna Hauck; brothers-in-law, Walter (Alice) Reihl, Russell Maeder, Donald McIntyre, Charlie (Frances) Reihl, Joe (Martha) Reihl and Franklin Reihl; and sister-in-law, Jean (Virgil) Smith.
