Richard Douglas Tackett 75, of Harrison passed away suddenly at his home on Friday, July 13, 2018. Richard was born July 30, 1942 in Highland Park, Michigan the son of Hansford and Geraldine (McArthur) Tackett. Upon his high school graduation, Mr. Tackett honorably served his country in the United States Navy for over four years during the Vietnam War. On June 15, 1963 in Dearborn, Michigan, Richard was united in marriage to Ms. Carol Daherty.
Richard enjoyed spending time at the family cabin in Harrison on weekends for many years prior to making it his home in 2000. He enjoyed fishing and held a great love and respect for dogs.
Surviving Mr. Tackett is his loving wife of fifty-five years, Mrs. Carol Tackett of Harrison, one son, Joe Tackett of Harrison, one brother, Ron Tackett and many nieces and nephews. Mr. Tackett was preceded in death by his parents.
