Obituary for Rita Nancy Savage
Rita Nancy Savage (Nitschke) age 90, of Mt. Pleasant passed away Wednesday, February 28th, 2024, at Medilodge of Mt. Pleasant.
Rita was born November 19, 1933 in Bay City. Rita Married Willard "Bill" Savage on April 16, 1955, in Bay City. She was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church of Weidman. Rita enjoyed cross stitching, playing cards, reading, quilt making, puzzles, and spending time with her loved ones.
Rita is survived by her daughters, Marilyn Schafer of Mt. Pleasant, Terri (Chris) Stolicker of Farwell; seven grandchildren, Kristen (Kent) Roberson, Kelli (Dan) Lobbestael, Cory (Jaime) Schafer, Carly (Nick) Bermensolo, Cassie Schafer, C.J, (Jody) Stolicker, Valerie Stolicker; ten great-grandchildren, Sierra Campbell, Sage Roberson, Stevie Roberson, Olivia Moss, Lilly Moss, Jackson Lobbestael, Hudson Lobbestael, Isabelle Schafer, Alexis Schafer, and Jordan Bermensolo; sisters, Lucy Drayer of Bay City, and Belinda Chase of Sarasota, FL; and many nieces and nephews.
Rita was preceded in death by: husband of 56 years, Willard "Bill' Savage, and her parents.
Per Rita's wishes cremation has taken place. A celebration of Rita’s life will take place at Clark Family Funeral Chapel on Sunday, June 23, 2024, at 11:30 a.m. A luncheon will immediately follow in the Reflections Reception Center. Burial of ashes to take place at Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday morning from 10:30 a.m. until the start of the service. Those wishing to make memorial contributions in memory of Rita, may consider Community Cancer Services of Isabella County or Medilodge of Mt. Pleasant. Envelopes will be available at the funeral chapel.
