Obituary for Robert William Gilray
GILRAY, ROBERT WILLIAM, age 67, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away Wednesday, December 1, 2021, at his home with family by his side.

Rob was born in Sault Ste. Marie on April 18, 1954, the son of Gordon and Ardith (MacMillan) Gilray. He was a second-generation co-owner of A&G Floors, a local commercial flooring contractor where he worked over 50 years. He married Rene J. Rock on November 1, 1975, in Ludington. Rob liked his politics, golfing, hunting, fishing, bowling, and enjoying a drink when socializing. Earlier years, he coached and played fast-pitch softball and coached youth baseball. He was a member of VFW Auxiliary and Sons of the American Legion.
Rob is survived by his wife of 46 years, Rene Gilray; sons Ryan Gilray of Jacksonville, FL, Randy Gilray of Mt. Pleasant; brother Steve (Deb) Gilray of Mt. Pleasant; sisters Christine (Bob) Nace of Fredericksburg, VA, Lori (Craig) Shumacher of Marquette, and Becky Gilray of Mt. Pleasant.
Rob was preceded in death by his parents.
