Obituary for Robert Eugene "Pops" Heistand
HEISTAND, ROBERT “POPS” EUGENE, age 63, of Mt. Pleasant passed away Sunday, January 17, 2021 at the Mid Michigan Medical Center in Mt. Pleasant.
A Memorial Service for Robert will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the family. Envelopes will be available at Clark Family Funeral Chapel.
Robert “Pops” was born on December 5, 1957, in Midland, son of Donald and Ruth (Coffman) Heistand. Borther to Harold and Richard. Robert owned his own Asphalt Company for many years before going to work for Waste Management for 26 years. He loved to go hunting and fishing with his family and friends. He also loved to do demolition derby in and around Mt. Pleasant.
Robert is survived by his sons, Jesse “Sumo” and Amber of Chesapeak, VA and Shane and Tiffany of Leesburg, FL; grandchildren, Scarlotte and Lydia, Sarah and Delsin; great-grandchild, Rowan; and brother Richard Heistand.
Robert was preceded in death by his son, Joe “Red” Heistand; brother Harold “Hal” Heistand; and uncle, Delbert Heistand.
