Obituary for Robert Edgar Ladd Jr. Jr.
Robert Edgar Ladd Jr. peacefully passed away on Thursday, April 11, 2024, at the age of 73, at his home in Harrison, Michigan, surrounded by his loved ones.
Robert was born on March 21, 1951 in Flint, Michigan to the late Robert Edgar Ladd Sr. and Gladys Evelyn Ladd. Robert retired from the Buick automotive division. Robert served in the Army during Vietnam and was a member of the Moose Lodge. He enjoyed spending his leisure time outside, hunting, fishing, and trapping. Robert invested in his own businesses, including Montrose Motors, Genessee Snowplowing, Wolf Creek Enterprise Stain Glass, and Michigan CBD Connections.
Robert had two sons and one daughter in law, Robert Ladd III, Dustin Ladd (Mary Ladd), one sister, Cindy Seely, and one brother, Ron Ladd. Robert had three additional beautiful woman he considered daughters: Penny Root-Farley, Aimee Aikin, and Stacy Johnson. Robert was also blessed with four grandchildren: Hana Ladd, Brook Ladd, Alisha Padgen, and Derrick Root. He also loved and cared for his two pets George and Ellie May. Robert had many close friends, including Walter Shaw, Bob Pruit, Dawn Lanin, Jerry Skellenger, and Jim Mckenna.
Robert will always be remembered for his amazing sense of humor and deeply missed by all.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 25" 2024, around 3:30 p.m. at his homestead located at 3144 Wilson Rd., Harrison MI, 48625.
