Obituary for Rolland Keith Daily
DAILY, ROLLAND KEITH, age 89, of Blanchard, passed away Sunday, February 3, 2019 at Isabella County Medical Care Facility.
Funeral Services for Rolland will be held Thursday, February 7, 2019 at 1 p.m. at Clark Funeral Chapel with Patti Hicks officiating. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. and on Thursday one hour prior to the funeral service. A luncheon will be held immediately following the service in the Reflections Reception Center. Interment will follow at Union Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Mid-Michigan Hospice, Isabella County Medical Care Facility, or to the family. Envelopes will be available at the funeral chapel.
Rolland was born November 21, 1929, in Blanchard, the son of John and Delia Ann (Martin) Daily. He married Jean Deloris Kratz in January 1953 in Lansing. Jean preceded him in death in August 2000. Rolland began working at the sawmill in Winn after 8th grade until he moved to Lansing where he worked for Atlas Drop Forge for over 30 years and retired at age 48. Rolland farmed for over 50 years in addition to working at Atlas. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Rolland is survived by his daughters Vanessa (Randy) McBride of Mt. Pleasant and Roxanne (Daily) Hillard of Blanchard; son-in-law Bill Bluemer of Blanchard; 9 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; sister Helen Carter of Charlotte; and many nieces and nephews.
Rolland was preceded in death by his parents; wife Jean; son Wayne Daily; daughter Cheryl Bluemer; brothers Basil, Donald, John, and Ira; sisters Fedilia, Dorothy, Rosella, Alice, Emma, and Ruth.
