Obituary for Ronald Edwin Langworthy Jr.
LANGWORTHY, RONALD EDWIN, JR., age 73, of Mt. Pleasant passed away Thursday, April 21, 2022, at the Isabella County Medical Care Facility.
A Memorial Service for Ronald will be held at Clark Family Funeral Chapel on Saturday, May 7, at 1 p.m. with Pastor Dana Hendershot officiating. A Luncheon will immediately follow in the Reflections Reception Center. The family will receive friends the day of the service from 11 a.m. until the time of the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Central Michigan University Physical Therapy Department and Humane Animal Treatment Society. Envelopes will be available at the funeral chapel.
Ronald was born on October 23, 1948, in Mt. Pleasant, son of Ronald Sr., and Edythe (Gardner) Langworthy. Ronald graduated from Beaverton High School with the class of 1967 and received his associated degree from Delta College. Ronald proudly served his country in the United States Army. He married Susan Long in 1991. Ronald enjoyed serving his community and worked as a police officer for the city of Mt. Pleasant, retiring in 2008. He was passionate about hunting, fishing, and woodworking.
Ronald is survived by his wife, Susan; stepchildren, Michael (Kara McConnell) Hayes and John Hayes, all of Traverse City; grandchildren, Connor, Ryan, and Holly Hayes; brother, David Langworthy of Mt. Pleasant; sisters, Deanna Stayton of Indianaplis, IN, Nancy (Terry) Bonk of Ohio, and Roxanne Little of Florida; in-laws, Sandra Kullman, Sharon Long, Patricia Long, Pamela (Glenn) Williams, Nancy (Joe) Lauer, Robert (Jeanne) Long, and Kathy (Brian) Tressel; and several nieces and nephews.
Ronald was preceded in death by his parents; parents-in-law, Jack and Kathleen Long; brothers-in-law, Jack Long and David Long; and nephew, Nicholas Pflaum.
