Ronald Allan "Bud" Wilbur, age 84, of Mt. Pleasant passed away on Tuesday, May 16, 2023, at his home with his family by his side.
A Memorial Service for Bud will be held at Clark Family Funeral Chapel on Friday, May 19, 2023, at 3 p.m. Interment will take place in Kelly Cemetery at a later date. The family will receive friends at the funeral chapel on Friday from 2 p.m. until the time of the service. Memorial contributions may be made to McLaren Hospice. Envelopes will be available at the funeral chapel.
Bud was born on December 13, 1938, in Mt. Pleasant, son of Wallace and Marjorie (Mullin) Wilbur. Bud graduated with Shepherd High School's class of 1957. He married the love of his life, Pansy Marie Darnell on September 20, 1958, in Mt. Pleasant. Bud worked in the oil fields as an operator for 30 years. After retiring, Bud worked for the City of Mt. Pleasant for 8 years.
Bud is survived by his wife of 64 years, Pansy Wilbur; children, Diane (Jeffrey) Long, Pamela (Terry) Lavender, Karla (Richard) French, and Dale (Tonya) Wilbur; 6 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and 3 sisters.
Bud was preceded in death by his parents and infant brother.
