Obituary for Rozell Williams (Collins)
Rozell (Collins) Williams of Tennessee, died Sept. 12, 2019, at the age of 86, at King Nursing and Rehabilitation Community, Houghton Lake, with her family by her side.
Cremation has taken place in accordance with her wishes. The family will plan a memorial service at a later date.
She was born in Gleason, TN, Oct. 6, 1932, the daughter of Theola and Ruby Blanche (Beasley) Collins. She and James E. Williams were married Nov. 18, 1950, in Eaton Rapids. Her husband preceded her in death in 2011.
Mrs. Williams was a homemaker. Besides Houghton Lake, she had lived in Lansing.
She had a zest for life and a spark in her heart that made her the sassy, witty and hilarious woman many people knew and loved. Known for wearing high heels and lipstick, she was loved and will be missed by those who knew her.
Preceding her in death besides her husband, James, were her parents, Theola and Ruby Collins.
Surviving Mrs. Williams are her children, James M. (Robin) Williams of Charlotte, Vicki L. Williams-Segura of Pueblo, CO, and Richard A. Williams of Houghton Lake; four grandchildren, Kelli M. Williams, Angelica L. (Adam) McClure, Meilani R. Williams and Jamie R. Williams; and 15 great-grandchildren.
