Obituary for Ruthann Mills (Heroy)
Ruthann Mills-Henry 66 of Harrison passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 16, 2019, surrounded by her family. Ruthann was born January 15, 1953 in Fort Wayne, Indiana, the daughter of Wilbur Max Heroy and Bertha Marie (Steigerwald) Heroy. Ruthann had resided in Harrison for many years. She was employed with Listening Ear of Clare for many years.
Ruthann was an avid crafter, and enjoyed giving her crafts out as gifts. She enjoyed gambling and when she won big, she was proud. Ruthann will always be remembered as the “life of the party”.
Surviving Mrs. Mills-Henry is her daughter, Bonnie S. Combs and husband Christopher of Harrison, one son, Wilbur B. Mills of Adrian, Michigan, seven grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, two sisters; Vickie S. Flood of Harrison and Shirley Moore of Clare, Michigan, one brother, James (Jim) Heroy of Fort Wayne, Indiana, many nieces, nephews, cousins and her fur baby, “Sammy”. Mrs. Mills-Henry was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers; Robert “Bob” Heroy, Mike Heroy and Kenneth Heroy, and the love of her life, Johnny Lee Henry.
Funeral services honoring Mrs. Mills-Henry will be held Tuesday, March 19, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. at Stocking Funeral Home, Harrison with Pastor Connie Bongard officiating. Visitation for Ruthann will take place Tuesday, March 19, 2019 from 12:00 p.m. until time of funeral. Burial will be in Summerfield Township Cemetery, Harrison.
