Obituary for Scott Paul Olson
OLSON, SCOTT PAUL, age 47, passed away on Thursday, February 20, 2020 at his home in Shepherd.
There will be a memorial service at Clark Family Funeral Chapel at 4 p.m. on March 11, 2020. The service will be officiated by Benjamen Evers.
On November 5, 1972, Scott was born to Franklin and Barbara (Gromaki) Olson. He was born in Milwaukee, WI and raised there until his parents moved to Phelps, WI in 1988. He graduated high school in 1991 as a Fighting Knight. He then went to Nicolet College for automotive. Upon completion, he started working in Watersmeet, MI as a casino dealer in Dec. 1993. This is where he met his wife, Jolene Ashbrook. After leaving for Soaring Eagle Casino and resort in 1997, they were married in Las Vegas in 1998. Scott’s casino career ended with 26 years in the table games industry. Scott was an avid reader with Stephen King as his favorite author. He also loved to golf, play cards, and work on cars. He was a huge Green Bay Packer fan. But his major passions in life were his family, darts, and music.
Scott is survived by his wife, Jolene Olson, as well as his son, Avory Olson of Shepherd, MI; his mother Barbara Olson of Phelps, WI; his brother, Kevin (Andrea) Olson of South Carolina, and nephew Stephen.
He was preceded in death by his father Franklin.
