Shane "Harley" Sutton-Schutt, age 54 , of Mt. Pleasant, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, March 23, 2024 at McLaren Greater Lansing surrounded by his loving family.

Per Harley's wishes, a visitation and sharing of stories will be held at Clark Family Funeral Chapel on Friday, March 29, 2024, from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. Following visitation the family welcomes all to the Deerfield Township Hall for more stories and a meal. Memorial contributions in memory of Harley may be made to the family to assist with funeral expenses. Envelopes will be available at the funeral chapel.

Harley was born January 8, 1970, the son of the late Robert Sutton, Sylvia Wilmot and adopted father, Terry Schutt. After graduating from Clare High School, Harley joined, and proudly served, in the United States Navy. He met Heather Pedrick in 2005 and had cherished 19 years together. Harley was a family man, and loved nothing more than spending time with all of his children and grandchildren. Anyone who knew Harley knows that he loved spending time at Houghton Lake fishing with his friend, Tod. Road trips in his truck were always a good time; Harley would let the road tell him where to go.

Harley is survived by his "old lady", Heather Pedrick of Mt. Pleasant: children, Alex Leffingwell, Angel Leffingwell, Tia Leffingwell, Amariah (Sam) Withers, Kristen (Keith) Atherton-Pedrick, Kristopher Crain, Thomas Pedrick, Alexis Pedrick, Austin Sutton-Schutt, Annabella Sutton-Schutt, Nathanyule Sutton-Schutt, and many more children that came into Harleys life and left lasting memories: 10+ grandchildren, parents, Sylvia and Terry Schutt; brothers, sisters and many nieces, nephews and extended family.

Harley was preceded in death by: father, Bob Sutton; nephews, Nate Trupe "Schutt" and Michael "Mikey" Schutt; and father-in-law, Walter Pedrick.
