Alwood, Sheryle Lynn, age 72, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away Saturday, August 6, 2022, at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Cremation has taken place at Daisy Hill Crematory in Mt. Pleasant. https://www.daisyhillcrematory.com/. A Celebration of Her Life will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 20, at Weidman Baptist Church with Pastor Dean Willard officiating. A luncheon will follow the service at the Sherman Township Hall. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Weidman Baptist Church or Woodland Hospice House. Envelopes will be available at the church and Clark Family Funeral Chapel & Cremation Service.
Sheryle was born on September 9, 1949, in Union Lake, Michigan, the daughter of Ernest and Barbara Jean (Bragan) Hall. She graduated from Waterford Township High School in the Class of 1967. Sherry married Russell Alwood on December 20, 2015. She had worked for Riverwalk Threads in Gladwin, retiring in 2011. Sherry loved the Lord and was a member of the Weidman Baptist Church. She enjoyed traveling, shopping, decorating, and the latest fashion trends. Watching Hallmark movies was one of her favorite pastimes. Sherry absolutely adored her son and grandchildren.
Sherry is survived by her husband, Russ Alwood of Mt. Pleasant; son Thomas (Monica) Koechig of Round Lake Beach, IL; step-children Heather Parsons of Clare, Todd Alwood of Mt. Pleasant and Matt (Gwen) Alwood of Weidman; 3 grandchildren Jared, Anjeleena and Logan; four step-grandchildren Mason, Sam, Sage and Brooklyn; brothers John (Diane) Collick of Florida, David Hall of Texas and Rick (Gina) Hall of Gladwin; sister Shelly (Art) Whelan of St. Helen; nieces and nephews Laura (Bob) Peavyhouse, Jennifer (Jay) Cooke, Robb (Jodi) Hall, Jeremy (Brenda) Hall, Ryan (Nikki) Crosby, Art (Kamrin) Whelan, Christopher Whelan, Jordan Whelan, Sara Collick, Kortland “KC” Crosby; great-nieces and nephews Jackson, Jessalyn, Jaelyn, Grayson, Alex, Hunter, Holton, Haiden, Hendrik, Garret, Nolan, Mason, Ryan, Destiny, William, Noah, Avery, Peyton, Addison and Regan.
Sherry was preceded in death by her parents and sister Roxanne (Jack) Kehoe.
