LAMOREAUX, SHIRLEY JEAN, age 78, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away Monday, November 12, 2018, at her home, surrounded by her family.

Per Shirley’s wishes, cremation has taken place. The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 1, 2018 from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. at Clark Family Funeral Chapel’s Reflections Reception Center. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital. Envelopes will be available at the funeral chapel.

Shirley was born on May 10, 1940, in Mt. Pleasant, the daughter of Roy and Nova (Campbell) Brown. She married Bernie Lamoreaux on May 18, 1963, in Mt. Pleasant. Shirley managed the Pixie Restaurant for 9 years before owning and operating her own cleaning company for several years. She was a loving wife and mother; and enjoyed taking care of people.

Shirley is survived by her husband of 55 years, Bernie Lamoreaux; son Jay (Jill) Lamoreaux of Grand Rapids; 4 siblings; special nieces, Brenda Hood of Mt. Pleasant, Krista (Joe) Schmidt of Troy; close family members Jean and Jim Kirkeeng of Sterling Heights; and many nieces and nephews.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents; and several siblings.
