Obituary for Steven Bardaville

Our dear special needs brother, Steven Bardaville passed away at the age of seventy-one in Rosebush Michigan on Thursday, November 24.

Born September 7, 1951, in Mount Pleasant Michigan to Esther and John Bardaville who both preceded him in death, Steve was the second brother of six and is survived by brothers Nick (Leslie), Bruce (Suzie), John (Rachel), Tony and Philip (Kristen), many nephews, nieces and cousins. Steve never married and had no children.

Steve lived a special, simple life and touched the hearts of everyone he met. Stranger, friend alike he would greet with a hearty ‘hello.’ A lifelong resident of Mount Pleasant Michigan, Steve worked at Mid-Michigan Industries and lived at McBride Homes in Mt Pleasant and Rosebush. Steve was active in the community, known to ride his bike around in his younger days throughout Mount Pleasant and visited friends as often as he could. Steve loved music, with Elvis Presley being his favorite. He also loved superheroes with the Green Hornet, Superman and finally settling on Captain America being his favorite. He was known to break out in tune and was very funny at times. He loved life, even when life did not love him.

He passed away surrounded by staff and family on Thanksgiving Day. Forever this will be a blessed Thanksgiving for all of us who knew and loved him.

A celebration of Steve’s life will be held at the Clark Family Funeral Chapel in Mount Pleasant on Saturday, December 3. Visitation will be from 10-11AM, and the service will begin at 11AM followed by a funeral procession to Memorial Gardens where Steve will be laid to rest next to our mother, father, and grandmother. A luncheon will then follow at Clark Family Funeral Chapel’s Reflections Reception Center.

In lieu of flowers please give to Mid-Michigan Industries (MMI) or the Special Olympics. Envelopes will be available at the funeral chapel.
