Obituary for Susan Ethel Lynch (Georgia)

Susan E.Lynch, age 76, of Harrison, Mi passed away at her home on Monday, January 21, 2019.

She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, and her kindness and generosity to her family and friends was a true gift. Written notes, cards, and gifts were shared often. She left treats for her mailperson, garbage man, and neighborhood kids who visited to help her out. The candy jar was always right there for any visitors! And at family gatherings, we could count on her deviled eggs, famous baked beans, jello “jigglers” for the kids, and of course treats for the dogs!. Her family and friends will dearly miss her silly, sassy, fun-loving ,and giving spirit.

Sue was born to Mike and Hazel Georgia in Detroit on April 19, 1942. She graduated from Dearborn High School, and attended Western Michigan University for a year. Here, her creativity and love for art grew, and many of her hobbies included her artistic talents. She painted wooden eggs at Easter and mini pumpkins at Halloween, giving them to family and friends. Her paintings, drawings, and sculptures will continue to bring joy to her loved ones. Other hobbies included reading and drawing house plans.

Sue also had a big heart for animals. She regularly gave to organizations that helped pets in need. So many dogs and cats were lucky to have her as their owner through the years... and she certainly loved to spoil them! Currently, her 2 dogs and 3 cats are feeling this terrible loss. Everyday Sue took time to feed the squirrels, and she even had pet rats for a few years! She deeply loved her pets.

Sue is survived by her two daughters; Georgia Sager of Jenison, Michigan and Stephanie Gendregske of Gladwin, Michigan, her sister, Evelyn Searl of Grand Rapids, Michigan, one brother, Myron “Mike” Georgia and wife Kris of Harrison, six grandchildren; Johnathon Gendregske, Jacob Gendregske and fiancée Alexis Stone, Stephen Gendregske, Reed Gendregske, Joseph Gendregske and John Sager II, one great-granddaughter, Vivian Gendregske, her great-aunt Marie Smith of St. Johns, Michigan, two nieces; Samantha Engelsman and husband Robert and Erin Korhorn and husband Scott, one nephew, Scott Georgia and wife Bethany, six great-nieces and nephews; Lauren, Drew and Trey Korhorn and Cora, Hazel and Fletcher Georgia and Sue’s dear friend, Mark Wilson of Harrison. Sue was preceded in death by her son, Greg Lynch and her parents, William Myron “Mike” and Olive “Hazel” Georgia.

Per her wishes, there will be no funeral services. A celebration of life will be planned in Sue’s memory this summer. Inurnment will take place at Maple Grove Cemetery, Harrison.
