Obituary for Terry Neal Onstott
ONSTOTT, TERRY NEAL, age 73, of Remus, passed away Thursday, April 20, 2023, at his home surrounded by loved ones.
Per Terry’s wishes cremation has taken place and a private service will be scheduled on a date in the future.
Terry was born in Mt. Pleasant on October 8, 1949, the son of the late Donald and Helen (Baronik) Onstott. Terry worked his way up from employee, to partner, to sole owner of Mt. Pleasant Septic. Selling the company and retiring after 40+ years of diligent hard work. Terry married Lynn Livingston in October 25th, 1969 in Mt. Pleasant, MI.
Terry will be remembered as a family man to his, wife, daughter, and granddaughters. He always loved gathering the family together for Sunday BBQ lunch and the family projects that usually followed, where he usually would take the role of supervisor. Terry was always attending and supporting the girls at their sports games and 4H. He was an outdoorsman at heart and would hunt just about anything, but his favorites were bear hunting with his many friends and family members, and deer hunting with his granddaughters. He loved his hunting dogs and raised chickens, pigeons, sheep, pheasant, and horses. In his later years he enjoyed farming his land and trips to the casino. Terry will be greatly missed especially his sarcasm and laughter.
Terry is survived by his wife, Lynn Onstott; daughter, Jennifer Onstott of Mt. Pleasant; granddaughters, Mercadez Muniz and Madison Muniz of Shepherd; brothers, Norman Onstott, Ronald (Kay) Onstott, Phil Onstott, Richard (Suzie) Onstott, Dennis (Barb) Onstott, Greg Onstott, all of Mt. Pleasant; sisters Sandra (John) Manley, Cindy (Mike) Smith, Kathy (John) Spiris, Patsy Gross, all of Mt. Pleasant; His many nieces and nephews; and his spoiled pride and joy beagle, Bo.
Terry was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Michelle Onstott; sister, Sharon Horning; brothers, Ken, Walter, Tom, and Stanley Onstott.
