CORLISS, THERESA CATHERINE, age 91, of Mt. Pleasant, died peacefully at home on Sunday, August 6, 2023, surrounded by family and loved ones under the loving care of hospice.

Theresa’s wishes were to be cremated. No services will take place. In memory of Theresa, her wishes were to be remembered by a donation to Isabella Commission on Aging.

Theresa was born in Mt. Pleasant, the daughter of Leo and Alma (Esch) Cashen. She was a graduate of Sacred Heart Academy and lifelong parishioner at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She also attended St. Mary’s Catholic Church, University Parish. Theresa was a retired schoolteacher after working for 38 years in the Grand Rapids area. She enjoyed being with her family, nature, music, and reading. Theresa loved to donate her time anywhere she could.

Theresa is survived by her brothers Fred (Joyce) Cashen, Tom (Janet) Cashen; sister Catherine (Roy) Jarman; sister-in-law Mary Jane (Cashen) Mullet; brother-in-law Steve Hartley; and many nieces and nephews.

Theresa was preceded in death by her parents; sisters Mary Jean Rodenbo and Rosemary Hartley; brothers Leo Cashen, Jr., and George Cashen.
