Obituary for Timothy Ray Olson
Timothy Ray Olson, age 60, of Mt. Pleasant passed away Saturday, February 3, 2024 at his home with his family by his side.
Funeral Services for Tim will be held at Clark Family Funeral Chapel on Tuesday, February 6, 2024, at 1 p.m. with Father Thomas Held officiating. Rite of Committal will follow in Calvary Cemetery. A Luncheon will follow the committal service in the Reflections Reception Center. The family will receive friends at the chapel on Monday, February 5, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Visitation will continue the day of the service from 12 p.m. until the time of the service. Memorial contributions may be made to William & Janet Strickler Nonprofit Center. Envelopes will be available at the funeral chapel.
Tim was born on November 13, 1963, in Mt. Pleasant, son of John and Marylyn (Packer) Olson. After working at Olson Tire for many years, Tim and his brother Pat continued on the legacy of their father until they sold the business in 2014. Tim enjoyed traveling, fixing up old motor coaches, working on tractors, landscaping, skiing, and most recently, axe throwing.
Tim is survived by his children, Joshua (Ashley Thatcher) Olson and Nicole (Louis) Proton; two grandchildren, Victoria and Luke Proton; siblings, Kathy (Ken) Hibler of Lafayette, IN, Mike (Nancy) Olson of Blanchard, Carla (Joe) Stein of Mt. Pleasant, SC, Pat Olson of Mt. Pleasant, and Sue (Bob) Bowlby of Mt. Pleasant; along with many nieces and nephews.
Tim was preceded in death by his parents; sister-in-law, Judy (Schutt) Olson; nephews, Kyle Hibler, Brent Olson, Blake Shipman; great-niece and nephew, Alejandro and Emily Kay.
