Obituary for Timothy John Snyder Sr.

SNYDER, TIMOTHY JOHN SR., age 49, of Mt. Pleasant passed away Tuesday, October 25, 2016 at his home.

Funeral Services for Tim will be held at Clark Family Funeral Chapel on Saturday, October 29, 2016 at 12 p.m. Interment will follow in Chippewa Township Cemetery. A Luncheon will take place at Reflections Reception Center at Clark Family Funeral Chapel following the committal service. The family will receive friends beginning at 10 a.m. until the time of the service at 12 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the family. Envelopes will be available at the funeral chapel.

Tim was born April 15, 1967 in Carson City, MI, the son of Leon Greenwood and Madeline Zimmerman. He graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School in 1986. Tim married Candy Frank June 12, 1987 in Shepherd. Tim had worked for Mid Michigan Industries and coached Special Olympics for 15 years. He enjoyed playing bingo, watching wrestling, and loved to decorate for the holidays. Tim also loved playing with his grandkids.

Tim is survived by his wife Candy Snyder; son Tim (Tiffany) Snyder Jr.; grandchildren Alyssa Snyder, Skylar Saylor, Serenity Saylor, and Braysen Snyder all of Mt. Pleasant; his mother Madeline Hoffmeyer of Mt. Pleasant; brothers Kevin Snyder (Laura Soderquist) of Shepherd, Vance Hoffmeyer Jr. (BobbyJoe) of Mt. Pleasant, Charles (Kathy) Snyder of Mt. Pleasant, Lee Greenwood of St. Louis; sisters Dawn (Tim) Bennett of Mt. Pleasant, Melinda Stahl of Mt. Pleasant, Barb (Humberto) Alvarado of Mt. Pleasant, Kate (Ken) Kyser of Shepherd, Linda Greenwood of Florida, Julie Wasek of Alma; bro in law Mike (Delores) Clifton of Dixon, TN.

Tim was preceded in death by two stepfathers Orville Snyder and Vance Hoffmeyer Sr.; 3 daughters Nicole Snyder, Joyce Anne Snyder, Samantha Snyder; sister Patricia Dowell; mother in law Annie Frank; grandpa and grandma Zimmerman; brother in law William Thompson; and an infant grandson.
