Tim was born on July 18, 1948, in Mt. Pleasant, son of Edward and Pansy (Chapman) Gordon. Tim attended Mount Pleasant Schools and proudly served his country in the United States Army. He was employed for Dowell-Schlumberger for over 25 years. Tim was a loving father and grandfather. He had a kind and generous soul with a heart of gold. Tim would have given the shirt off his back to a stranger in need. He had an incredible sense of humor with an infectious laugh. Tim made friends wherever he went. Known as "Scrappy" by many, Tim enjoyed golfing, deer hunting, fishing, riding motorcycles, going to flea markets and garage sales, gardening, and drinking coffee. He frequented The Diner restaurant so often that it was considered his "home away from home." Tim’s greatest joy in life was spending time with his family.

Tim is survived by his children, Tammy (Donnie) Dickinson of Coleman, Brian (Annette) Thaller of Fairgrove, MO, and Amber (Mike) Richardson of Puryear, TN; six grandchildren, Bri Baxter, Tyler Stambersky, Dominick Dickinson, Braylee Dickinson, Brandon Thaller, and Angelo Franco; three great-grandchildren, Ella, Zhara, and Aemilia Franco; sisters, Linda (Bill) Wohlscheid, Louanna (Bill) Burch, and Kathy (Jim) Thaller-Murphy; and many nieces and nephews.

Tim was preceded in death by his father, Edward Gordon; mother, Pansy Thaller; stepfather, Louis Thaller; and brother, Terry (Marlene) Thaller.
