Obituary for Tracy "Bud" Bywater

Bywater, Tracy “Bud” age 77, of Mt. Pleasant passed away Monday, February 1, 2021, at his home surrounded by his family.

Cremation has taken place. The family will receive friends at the Weidman Baptist Church on Saturday, February 6 from 11 A.M. until 1 P.M. A private family memorial service will be held after the visitation. The service will be live streamed on the Weidman Baptist Church Facebook page. Burial of ashes will take place at Sherman Township Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Weidman Baptist Church. Envelopes will be available at Clark Family Funeral Chapel and the church.

Tracy was born on January 10, 1944, the son of Howard Bywater and Garnet (Gray) Bywater. After graduating from Weidman High School with the class of 1963, he trained as a fire fighter and EMT. Tracy married Nancy Sandelius on February 23, 1964. He worked for many years and retired from the Mt. Pleasant Regional Center. After retirement, Tracy worked as an EMT for Isabella County and MMR. He was a CPR instructor for the American Heart Association, a first responder for the Sherman Township Fire Department and a Deacon and Sunday School teacher at the Weidman Baptist Church. Tracy was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing and teaching his grandchildren how to fish.

Tracy is survived by his wife of 56 years, Nancy; children: David (Tony Patitucci) Bywater of Muskegon, Kevin (Rachel) Bywater of Allegan and Fawn Panella of Mt. Pleasant; grandchildren: Austin Bywater, Erin Curry, Kristine Meyer, Cailee Bywater, Kristen Coon, Chelsie Ford, Kyle VandenBrooks, Brittany Lindsay, Justinn Panella and Jordenn Panella; 12 great-grandchildren and brothers: Larry (Eva) Parks and Robert (Ruth) Bywater.
