Obituary for Vernon Hacker
HACKER, VERNON, age 88, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away September 2, 2023, at his home surrounded by loved ones.
Services for Vernon will be held at Clark Family Funeral Chapel on Thursday, September 7, 2023, at 11 a.m. with Father Tom Held officiating. Immediately following the service, a luncheon will be held in the Reflections Reception Center. Burial will take place at Denver Township Cemetery in Rosebush. Friends are invited to join the family for visitation from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral chapel. Memorial contributions may be to the family. Envelopes will be available at Clark Family Funeral Chapel.
Vernon was born on November 18, 1934, in Louisville, KY, the son of the late Henderson and Della (Robertson) Hacker. Vernon proudly served in the United States Navy. He worked for Total as a boilermaker, welder, and heavy equipment operator for many years. Vernon loved to hunt and go camping, but most of all he loved to travel.
Vernon is survived by his son: Jack Hacker of Mt. Pleasant, step-son: Cliff Chamberlain, and many nieces and nephews.
Vernon was preceded in death by his parents and the love of his life: Beverly Chamberlain; brothers: Jerry, Dickie, Charlie, Douglas, Junior, and Ed.
