Obituary for Vincent D. Brown

Dr. Vincent D. Brown, age 105, of Mt. Pleasant passed away peacefully Wednesday, January 27, 2021, at his home.

A celebration of Vincent’s life will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Isabella County Commission on Aging, Isabella Community Soup Kitchen and Special Olympics Michigan. Envelopes will be available at Clark Family Funeral Chapel & Cremation Service.

Vincent was born on December 19, 1915, in Pigeon, Michigan the son of Wesley and Freda (Diebel) Brown. He graduated from Pigeon High school, class of 1934. In 1939, he graduated from Central Michigan University, where he played saxophone in the Marching Band. He married Marjorie Jean Garner on April 11, 1941 in Weidman. He graduated from the University of Michigan Dental school in 1945. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy and Army. He was awarded The Bronze Star for his service in Korea. He practiced dentistry in Mt. Pleasant for many years where he treated people from all walks of life.

Vincent is survived by his children, Patty (Jim) Lommel of Dexter, Steve (Vickie) Brown of Mt. Pleasant and Bonnie Brown of Scottville; grandchildren, Michael Lommel, Jennifer Owens, John Lommel, Dylan, Ryan, Spencer Brown and Codi Aymer, Rebecca Bailey and Laura D’Agostino; great-grandchildren, Jamie Owens, Chloe and Eliza Vanhorn, Calan Simpson, Maxwell and Kelson Lommel, Vincent Aymer, Tiffany and Matteo Brown, Isaac Messeder, Gianna Stansell, Julius, Lucy, Felix, Miles, Max, and Leo Bailey, Dawson Courteau, Cassidy Gillis; and niece Joyce (Jim) Warren.

Vincent was preceded in death by his parents, “Jeannie”, his wife of 65 years, and sister Enid Maxwell.
