Obituary for Virginia M. Fisher (Peffer)

Virginia M. Fisher (Peffer), age 88, passed away February 9, 2024.

Virginia was born January 30, 1936, in Delwin, MI, the daughter of L. Gerald and Julia (Tatar) Kile. She was the oldest of seven children. Virginia graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School with the class of 1953. She went on to work at the Mt. Pleasant Center for Human Development; retiring after 30 years of service.

In 1956 she married Clifford Peffer, and they had two sons, Craig and Mark. Family was very important to her. She was always willing to help as much as she could. Spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren was an essential part of her life. She especially loved the little ones. They gave her much joy.

Later in life, she married Ralph “Bud” Fisher. They were married in 2013 until his passing in 2020. She treasured their vacations together, their daily excursions, but mostly their families. She valued their friendships.

Virginia was a private person but loved to share her life experiences with family. They enjoyed the helpful tips. She had an incredible talent for remembering dates, times, and birthdates, and was an amazing source of information.

Virginia is survived by her sons, Craig (Suzanne) Peffer and Mark (Alicia) Peffer of Mt. Pleasant, MI; grandchildren, Blake (Erin) Peffer and Grant (Whitney) Peffer, of Mt. Pleasant, MI, Lauren (Shad) Sunday of Clare, MI, Marcus (Felisha) Shaw and Jason Shaw, of Mt Pleasant, MI; 12 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great- grandchildren; siblings, Vivian (K.C.) Charnes, William Kile, and Janet (Chris) Rocheleau; sister-in-law, Debby Kile and many nieces and nephews.

Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Ralph “Bud” Fisher; sisters, Helen Fabiano and Ruth Ann (Bud) Flynn; brother, Allen Kile; and sister-in-law, Deb Kile.

A Celebration of Life for Virginia will be held at Clark Family Funeral Chapel on Saturday, February 17, 2024 at 12:30 p.m. with Benjamen Evers officiating.
