Obituary for Vivian M. McBride (Leiter)
Vivian M. McBride, age 93, of Mt. Pleasant passed away Friday, January 21, 2022, at MidMichigan Medical Center in Midland.
A Private Service will be held at Clark Family Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital via www.stjude.org/wemissyou.
Vivian was born on March 3, 1928, in Sherman Township, Isabella County, daughter of Howard and Geraldine (Cornell) Leiter. She married Merritt L. McBride on July 9, 1945. Vivian worked for the United States Agriculture Department in Isabella County for over 35 years. She enjoyed spending time outside and in her younger years, loved hunting and fishing. She loved playing cards, reading, listening to music, but most importantly, spending time with her family and friends.
Vivian is survived by her son, Jack McBride; grandchildren, Stacy Lynn (Paul) Campbell, Kari Ann McBride, and Bryan Lee (Ashley) McBride; great-grandchildren, Connor Jack, Allyson, Easton Lee, and Ava; and older sister, Marion Curtiss.
Vivian was preceded in death by her husband, Merritt L. McBride in 2002; son, Roger McBride in 1973; parents; brother, Dale Leiter; and daughter-in-law and mother of Vivian's grandchildren, Barbara Kay McBride.
