Obituary for Wayne Terry House
HOUSE, WAYNE TERRY, age 80, of Rosebush, passed away Tuesday, November 1, 2022, at his home.
Funeral Services for Wayne will be held at Clark Family Funeral Chapel on Wednesday, November 9, 2022, at 11 a.m. with Benjamen Evers officiating. A luncheon will immediately follow in the Reflections Reception Center. Burial will take place at Memorial Gardens Cemetery following the luncheon. The family will receive friends beginning at 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Mt. Pleasant Eagles #4463 or to the charity of the donor’s choice. Envelopes will be available at the funeral chapel.
Wayne was born in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan on April 3, 1942, the son of Earl and Erma (Carlson) House. He graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School with the class of 1960 and earned a certificate of completion in Agri Mechanics from MSU. Wayne worked as a millwright at Dow Chemical and retired in 1995 after 32 years of service. He also owned Central Sandblasting and Painting for several years. He was a member of Rosebush United Methodist Church and Mt. Pleasant Eagles. Wayne loved to fish and serve his catch with fish fries for friends and family. He loved socializing, golfing, gardening, and driving anywhere he could.
Wayne is survived by his children, Rick (Tammy) House of Mt. Pleasant, Robyn (Mike) Guettler of Bay City, Mike House of Rosebush, William House (Liz Strom) of Rosebush, Kristen (Ian) Ames of Weidman; grandchildren Trisha (Hawke) Grover, Leah (Adam) Buck, Relin (Chris) Kehoe; great-grandchildren Gibbs and Banks, Lillian, and Maeve.
Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Phil and Bryan and nephew, John House.
