Obituary for William Emory "Bill" Wilson
William “Bill” Emory Wilson 56 of Harrison passed away at his home on Sunday, May 12, 2019 after a courageous battle with cancer. William was born April 30, 1963 in Flint, Michigan the son of Lorn R. and Gayle A. (Evans) Wilson. Bill graduated in 1982 from Mount Morris High School, Mount Morris, Michigan. On March 4, 1993 in Mount Morris, Michigan, William was united in marriage to Ms. Debra Elaine Boyd. Bill and his family had resided in Harrison since 2000, moving from Mount Morris Township, Michigan.
William spent twenty-one years as a residential builder, prior to moving to Harrison. He was currently employed with Harrison Do it Best Lumber as the small engine and parts counter manager. Bill enjoyed fishing, small game, bird and deer hunting; he was truly an outdoorsman. He also was fond of playing golf, bowling, baking treats for his family and raising fresh grown vegetables. Many memories were made throughout the years camping and travelling, especially the family trip to California. Bill was a fan of the Detroit Lions, Detroit Tigers and Detroit Red Wings.
Surviving Mr. Wilson is his loving wife of twenty-six years, Mrs. Debra E. Wilson of Harrison, his three daughters; Heather (Adam) Rees of Harrison, Katie Wilson and Sean Bergey also of Harrison and Miranda Wilson and Thomas Rosenberg of Harrison, three grandchildren; Alexandria Bergey, Connor Rees and Knolan Rees, one sister, Lorna Wilson of Flushing, Michigan, five brothers; Wayne (Kristy) Wilson of Homer, Michigan, Thomas Ryan (Carol) Wilson of Flint, Wade Brian (Sherry) Wilson of Mount Morris, Robert (Brenda) Wilson of Davison, Michigan and Dane Anthony (Tammy) Wilson of Goodrich, Michigan, plus a host of nieces, nephews and close friends and his beloved dog, Hunter. Mr. Wilson was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers. Rex and Lex Wilson.
Funeral services honoring Mr. Wilson will take place on Friday, May 17, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Taylor officiating. Visitation will be held Friday, May 17, 2019 from 11:00 a.m. until time of service. Memorial gifts in memory of Bill may be considered to the Wilson Family, in care of: Debra E. Wilson.
