Obituary for William "Bill" Dale Recker
RECKER, WILLIAM DALE “Bill”, age 83, of Mt. Pleasant passed away Thursday, September 29, 2022, at his home under the care of My Michigan Hospice.
Funeral Services for Bill will be held at Clark Family Funeral Chapel on Monday, October 3, at 1 p.m. with Benjamen Evers officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Gardens Cemetery. A Luncheon will be held in the Reflections Reception Center following the Committal Service. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Memorial contributions may be made to My Michigan Hospice or DaVita Mt. Pleasant Dialysis. Envelopes will be available at the funeral chapel.
Bill was born August 2, 1939, in Lincoln Township, the son of the late Gilbert and Ulah (Welch) Recker. He married Wilda Carrier on February 7, 1958, in Mt. Pleasant. Bill loved spending time outdoors; fishing, hunting, working on machinery, and spending time farming with his late brother-in-law, Jay Carrier. Nothing meant much more to Bill than spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Bill is survived by sons, Kevin (Tammy) Recker, Randy (Veronica) Recker, James (Kim) Recker, and Terry (Pattie) Recker; 11 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren, siblings; Duke (Onalee) Recker, JoAnn Yuncker, and Betty (Ron) Waversik.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents; Gilbert and Ulah (Welch) Recker, wife; Wilda, and 6 siblings.
