Obituary for William "Bill" Murphy
MURPHY, WILLIAM “BILL”, age 48, of Mt. Pleasant, suddenly passed away Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at his home.
A Memorial Service for Bill will be held at Clark Family Funeral Chapel on Sunday, December 16, 2018 at 1 p.m. A luncheon will immediately follow in Reflections Reception Center. The family will receive friends the day of the service beginning at 12 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to HATS or to the family. Envelopes will be available at the funeral chapel.
Bill was born on May 23, 1970, in Jackson, the son of Howard and Margaret (McLean) Murphy. He graduated from Sacred Heart Academy with the class of 1988. Bill worked for MPR Communications for 22 years. He married Dawn Evans on December 29, 2000.
Bill is survived by his wife Dawn Murphy of Mt. Pleasant; his parents Howard and Maggie Murphy of Mt. Pleasant; sisters Anne (David) Hornak of Holt, Katherine (John) Williams of Grand Haven; nieces and nephews Olivia and Maxwell Hornak, Finn and Maisie Williams, and Eli and Ian Evans; mother-in-law Marjie Evans of Beal City; father-in-law Duane Evans of Alma; brother-in-law Lee (Debbie) Evans of Merrill; his fur babies Porter and Suzie; cat, Marti; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Bill was preceded in death by his grandparents.
