Condolence From: Carl & Louise Heineck
Condolence: We only met Bill 2 or 3 times around the Hobe Sound Golf Club and it was only for a few minutes each time. In those few minutes you could see what a gentleman and class-act he was... just a pleasure to meet such a man. Our condolences to his family and friends. God bless him.

Condolence: Geology faculty in the Department of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences were saddened by the news of Bill Strickler's passing. Bill's support of the CMU Geology program was deeply appreciated and he is fondly remembered for his leadership in helping to preserve the extensive collection of Michigan Basin core that was transferred to the Michigan Geological Repository for Research and Education several years ago. We offer our deepest condolences to the Strickler family. Lawrence D. Lemke Professor and Chair CMU Dept. of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences

Condolence: I first met Bill while working at the Mt. Pleasant Airport back in the late 70's. Bill was so kind that he let my husband and myself use his airplane for weekend trips up to Mackinac Island. Bill you were truly one of the good guys.

I have so many fond memories of Bill going back to our Sig Ep days at CMU. And life in MP always included Bill, whether at Hunt Camp or Trout Camp(where he was a great cook) or golf or social events, we were around each other alot. Condolence: Bill was a fun loving man with a great love of Mt. Pleasant. He was smart, insightful and thoughtful. Bill will be missed for decades to come since he gave so much to build a better community. He treasured his friends as they treasured him. He leaves behind a beautiful wife and family and my heart is sad with his loss. I hope heaven has lots of blueberries!
