Obituary for William Lee "Bill" VanOrden
VANORDEN, WILLIAM LEE, age 79, of Mt. Pleasant passed away Saturday, April 3, 2021, at Medilodge of Mt. Pleasant under the care of Heartland Hospice.
Cremation has taken place at Daisy Hill Crematory in Mt. Pleasant. A Private Memorial Service for Bill will take place at Clark Family Funeral Chapel with Chaplain Jeff England officiating. Interment will take place at Woodland Cemetery.
Bill was born on December 12, 1941, in Mt. Pleasant, at Bill's grandparent’s home to Clinton and Mildred (Howard) VanOrden. Bill graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School and proudly served his country in the United States Army. He married the love of his life, Lois Ann Watkins on November 9, 1974. Bill worked in laundry services for the Mt. Pleasant Regional Center. Bill loved being outside and working in his gardens and had a lifelong love for tractors.
Bill is survived by his wife of 46 years, Lois Ann VanOrden; daughters, Amy Ann VanOrden of Mt. Pleasant and Leann (Matthew) Stachowiak of Grand Rapids; niece Patty (Norm) Woodward; sister-in-law, Cathy VanOrden; and nephew, Dan VanOrden.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Clinton VanOrden; and sisters, Shirley and Judy VanOrden.
