Clifford “Beauford” John Crozier-Bober
October 29, 1963 - March 10, 2012

Clifford “Beauford” John Crozier-Bober, 48, of Mt. Pleasant passed away on Saturday, March 10, 2012 at McLaren Central Michigan.

Funeral services for Clifford will be held at the Saginaw Chippewa Indian Reservation Tribal Gym on Friday, March 16th at 1 p.m. with Brian Corbiere officiating, of the 3 Fire Midewin Society. Interment will be in the Kewadin Methodist Church Cemetery in Kewadin, MI. The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 15th from 1-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m.

Clifford was born on October 9, 1963, in Antrim County, the son of Leeander Sams and Elizabeth Anderson. Clifford was a member of the Grand Traverse Band of Ottawa/Chippewa Tribe and worked in Grounds Maintenance for the Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe. He was a member of 3 Fires Midewin 1st Degree. In his early years his nickname was “Kinde Garten Drop Out”. In recent years he was an avid University of Michigan fan, longed to be a senior golf pro, loved playing bingo, was a traditional dancer, woodmaker and was known as “Uncle Cliff” to many of the Rez kids.

Clifford is survived by his significant other, Danielle Ray and special friend Consuelo Gonzalez of Mt. Pleasant and his children, Christian Duncan of Ann Arbor, and Corey Duncan of Mt. Pleasant, his adopted mother, Karen Bober of Belville, MI; brothers, Leo Bober, Oliver Bober, Michael (Rosa) Benson, Joshua (Dawn) Gravelyn and Dennis (Summer) Lettau; sisters, Maryann McKenzie, Mary Heintzelman, Rebecca Woods, and Francis Kailimai; and many nieces and nephews.

Clifford was preceded in death by his parents, adopted father, Ron Bober; one adopted sister Veronica Bartholomew; and son, Christopher.
